Mayor Theresa Rich

Farmington Hills Mayor Theresa Rich is a mother, advocate, educator, entrepreneur, and community leader who has dedicated her life to service above self. 

 

Following a thirty-year career in the automotive industry, where her roles ranged from tax lawyer to leading international seminars, Theresa has served our community on Farmington Hills City Council, the Oakland Schools Board of Education, and various boards and commissions at the local, state, and national levels. Theresa also serves on the faculty of the Wayne State University Mike Ilitch School of Business and is a proud American Federation of Teachers union member.

Theresa and her husband Brian have lived in Farmington Hills for over 30 years and own a local business, RichLaw, PLLC. They are proud to have raised their two children, former Farmington Public Schools trustee Zachary Rich and Alyson Rich, M.D., in our city.

A Celebration of Indian Culture

The Ward Festival of India is a vibrant celebration of Indian culture. Join us for a day filled with variety of games, crafts, performances, and culinary delights that showcase the rich heritage of India. This is an opportunity to immerse yourself in music and tastes of India right here in Farmington Hills, Michigan.

The Conference

Special Performance

Chitra Sridhar is trained in Carnatic classical music since the age of 4 .She has sung in over 500 shows all over the US and shared stage with legendary artists Like P Susheela , Mano. She was the opening act of the Prestigious Klose to my Heart  Sonu Nigam concert held in Detroit in 2012. She has been interviewed  on well known radio shows like Radio Tharanga and ‘’Gata rahe mere Dil. She was also interviewed on the AMN TV channel in Chennai in the Kutchery Cafe program.

Chitra has many albums to her credit. A special one was the album ‘Thavam ‘that she shared with musical icons like SP Balasubramanian , playback singer Srinivas and music director Sharath. She has lent her voice to many prime time TV serials in Chennai. Done playback for two Malayalam movies Kumki and KO. She has collaborated with many music composers in India and sung many independent singles that are featured in all digital platforms globally. She was part of an album called Durga along  with eminent classical musicians which was released by HMV Saregama.
